Perched on the 22nd floor of Atlantis The Royal, Cloud 22 is a luxury rooftop destination designed to deliver a seamless blend of architecture, leisure, and art. SPME was entrusted with the full design, production, and installation of several key elements—custom-created to reflect the exclusivity and contemporary identity of this iconic venue.

1. The Lotus Bar
At the heart of Cloud 22 is the Lotus Bar, an architectural centerpiece inspired by the natural form of a lotus leaf. Measuring 16 meters in height and 26 meters in width, the bar was constructed using custom frameworks and projection surfaces, providing both structural grandeur and digital integration for dynamic lighting effects.
2. Infinity Pool – Design & Fabrication
SPME led the custom design and production of the 90-meter-long infinity sky pool, which is the focal point of the Cloud 22 experience. The pool’s curved form and seamless edge were tailored for elevated views of Palm Jumeirah, with integrated lighting and finish materials selected for durability and elegance.
3. Stem & Bloom Umbrellas
These fully customized fiberglass umbrellas were developed from concept to completion by SPME. Designed to echo the bar’s floral motif, the umbrellas serve both functional and aesthetic purposes, providing shade while enhancing the visual identity of the pool deck.
4. Privacy Screens – Fiberglass
SPME fabricated custom privacy screens using lightweight fiberglass, offering guests seclusion while maintaining a clean, sculptural aesthetic. These pieces were designed to withstand wind loads and provide subtle spatial division across the deck.
5. Light & Mist Trumpets
A series of decorative trumpet-shaped installations were added to enrich the atmosphere. These multifunctional pieces emit soft ambient light and a gentle mist, creating a cooling effect and contributing to the sensorial luxury of the space.
6. DJ Skull Booth
A standout sculptural piece, the DJ booth was custom made by SPME in 3D-formed stainless steel, shaped like a contemporary skull. Polished to a mirror finish, it anchors the entertainment zone with a bold visual presence, doubling as a functional DJ station and art installation.
7. Tiki Bar Chandelier
SPME created the Tiki Bar’s signature chandelier using bespoke components crafted to fit the theme—merging tropical motifs with high-end finishes. The chandelier is suspended with integrated lighting to complement the bar’s relaxed, resort-style ambiance.
8. Custom Art Glass & Chandeliers
Additional glass artworks and chandeliers were designed and fabricated by SPME, using hand-blown techniques and tailored shapes to match the curated luxury of Cloud 22.
